Tips in Upgrading

Getting to have my own server has provided me with a lot of information that normally wouldn't be available to me. Among these are the rares that can be found in the Tantra World. I've also been able to test and verify which of the rumored upgrading tips are true. Given the unlimited quantity of items, I can continually test on the many tricks in upgrading.

Among the things that I have learned is that Vananta is really a scammer. We tried to upgrade a Datu Pazuta to +12. Out of the 25 Datu Pazuta +9's that we had, only one made it to +12. We only used Ramate and Prajati. We donated 100m (the maximum per donation) for every upgrade. And I mean EVERY. We donated 100m before we clicked on the blazing furnace.

So where does that bring us? What is really the surefire way of successfully upgrading? Could it be the Master Points?

Here's what I think. Master points only matter if another God-mate of yours is upgrading with you.

Scenario: Brahman Mijung 1 is together with Brahman Abatara 1. They are both trying to upgrade their weapon to +12. A fellow brahman donated 45m to fill the pot. Brahman Mijung 1 and Brahman Abatara 1 then clicked on OK at the same time.

In this scenario, it is highly likely that Brahman Mijung 1 will succeed in refining. The Gods will favor him more as he has more Master points. What would be my basis for such assumption?

On a stormy night in September 2006, I was having a few round of beers with Stripperella, xfrancescax, Kulot and iyah. Because of a debilitating mental condition(i made this part up), iyah managed to convince Aman (Stripperella's owner) to upgrade their Datu Bao +11's to +12. Unfortunately, the power went out. Morning came and the electricity got back, and the beautiful Ate Anne (yeah sipsip ako) went down and had her dutiful helpers to serve us breakfast. Aman and iyah then both convinced Ate Anne to upgrade her bow to +12 too.

To cut the long story short, they all agreed to click on OK at the same time. We started upgrading at around 8am. The first try, Ate Anne's EthAnne1126 succeeded in refining. Aman almost broke down in despair because he spent almost P10,000 upgrading his bow to +11. To pacify him, Ate Anne instructed to Kulot to get all the prajatis in their ashram storage as she promised Aman that they would not stop until they get their bows to +12.

EthAnne1126 was the Brahman Mijung 1 back then and Aman was the Brahman Mijung 2. Iyah was still in Shiva.

At around 1pm, we finally managed to upgrade Aman's bow to +12. I would be quick to note that the whole time, the Brahmans were the one filling the pot. So naturally, the Gods would be in their favor. At around 3pm, at the brink of giving up, Ate Anne took over upgrading Iyah's bow. After numerous failures, a few packs of cigarette, and a few unspoken novenas from iyah, it was over in just one click. It was only Ate Anne, using her character EthAnne1126, that managed to upgrade iyah's bow.

In summary, I think upgrading is still pretty much a game of chance. The blazing furnace, whether we like it or not, is composed of a series of mathematical algorithms. Success in refining still depends on clicking at the right time. It may favor someone given the right scenario, but it is not the absolute way of succeeding. It's still pretty much like Russian roulette, a second missed is an item lost.
